With the unprecedented success of photo l.a 2014, we are proud to announce the 24th edition of the fair set to take place January 15-18th, 2015.
Attendance increased to 18,000 at our new location at the historic LA Mart and we are excited to return to Downtown Los Angeles (DTLA) where art and culture continues to flourish.
DTLA has become a leading destination for art enthusiasts with the presence of photo l.a., the LA Art Show, cutting edge new galleries, the Downtown Art Walk, and the welcome addition of FIAC, coming to the Convention Center in 2015. The new Broad Museum opens in DTLA in 2015.
In addition to the increased number of hotels, high-end restaurants and new bars, the Convention Center also announced a 30% increase in events it will host this year. The LA Mart continues to significantly expand its event schedule as it makes the change to its new name - The Reef.
We invite you to join photo l.a. 2015 and be a part of this explosion of art and culture in Los Angeles. We have had extraordinary interest in photo l.a. 2015 and we are thrilled to now bring you the current application for the new edition of the fair.

Opening Night Gala: photo l.a. opening night gala attracted over 3,500 people setting the stage for an extraordinary weekend of events not to be missed. There are still ticket options available for the final days of the fair.

Classic photo l.a. comes to the LA Mart
How does one define classic photography? However one defines it, Classic Photography has always been a part of photo l.a. since it started in 1992 at Butterfield's (now Bonhams) auction house. It was, and always will be part of the expanse of photography and photo-based art that is available to view and enjoy at the fair. Learn More.
Douglas Kirkland: A life in Pictures
photo l.a. is extremely proud to announce that the 2014 edition of the fair will be honoring award-winning celebrity photographer Douglas Kirkland. Since 1960, Kirkland has photographed over 2,000 assignments and more than 600 major celebrities, from Marilyn Monroe to Angelina Jolie. He has also released a multitude of best selling books and has had his photography exhibited in major museums and galleries throughout the world.

photo l.a. is proud to announce its 23rd edition in a new location: downtown at one of the most distinctive venues in Los Angeles - the historic LA Mart (1933 Broadway, Los Angeles, CA 90007) built in 1958. photo l.a. is joining the massive celebration of the arts throughout the downtown area, where the L.A. Art Show and a large number of popular galleries will all be working in unison to drive a massive collaboration of the arts downtown precisely for the weekend of photo l.a.s exposition.
With the resurgence of downtown Los Angeles as a cultural and artistic hub, and Los Angeles' growing importance in the international art market, photo l.a. is proud to join the acceleration of downtown L.A.'s artistic impetus. Joining in on the renewed support of downtown Los Angeles are major art establishments like the new Broad Museum, The Geffen Contemporary, MOCA, and the Japanese American National and Chinese American Museums, along with many new contemporary galleries. photo l.a. and the L.A. Mart are connecting with this scene to present a phenomenal art experience in 2014.
From January 16-19, 2014, in L.A. Mart's massive 60,000 square foot Exhibition Hall, photo l.a. will present its widest collaboration of photography yet, exhibiting works dating from the 19th century, up through the most cutting edge contemporary photo-based art. photo l.a. 2014 will continue its celebration of the photographic arts, both through the exhibition of internationally renowned galleries, and as a platform for education and discussion. Known for it's excellent programing, photo l.a. once again will spearhead a unique series of lectures, roundtables, and docent tours as a valuable supplement to our exhibitions.
